Movies!

I saw 4 movies this weekend. Camp Rock, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Get Smart, and Batman Begins. Camp Rock pretty much sucked. It was actually kind of ok, but i hate it when they mix the actors voices BEYOND belief. They all start to sound the same when they do that. On a positive note it was better than High School Musical (which to be quite honest is not saying much). The Spiderwick Chronicles I had never read the books so i had nothing to compare it too, and it was surprisingly good. Way better than I expected. It was more intense than I thought it would be, keeping me on my toes through the entire movie, had a TON more story line than was expected, and had enough classical fantasy stuff in it to keep me entertained. If any of you havent guessed this about me already im a big fantasy/sci fi geek. If you ever have been in my room (which as far I know most of you havent O_o) you could figure this out by the books that line my shelves and the various decorations and games and such that reside there. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The next is Get Smart which I saw today when I went to the movies with Jevon and Corbin. Very funny movie lots of story plot, action, and of course comedy. But what I thought was cool about this movie was that it had comedic action scenes. There is this one part where they have this big fight scene on top of a moving train going about 80 miles an hour and it is just...really funny. The improbability of a lot of it was also hilarious. I mean who puts security cameras in an air duct? I would highly recommend this movie. Last but most certainly not least, Batman Begins. This was my favorite movie out of the 4 that i watched this weekend. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I dont know how to describe its awesomeness. Lets just say I cant wait till the sequel come out next month.

RuneScape Clan

Ok. Ben and I have been talking about starting a RuneScape clan for a while. I want to start it soon and I was wondering who would want to join. You dont have to do much to be in it. Just doing events occasionally and joining the chat if you can (its really fine if you dont want to). If you play RuneScape at all let me know if its ok that we can put you on our members list. The more members you have the more people will want to join. The name we came up with is Lil' Tacos of Doom.

California Achievement Test (CAT)

First i would like to say that it is really stupid and yet good that we use California's standards since they SUCK. I took the 8th grade one today and it was really easy. To start we had to check in then take our seats. I was sitting next to Connor (the one with face hair) and Shellie. I was talking to them for about 20 minutes since the tester guy was late. Then it started. The subjects were (i think) Reading comprehension, Math, Math concepts, Vocabulary, Grammar stuff, and 1 other thing i cant remember. To do the test easily all you needed were basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, percentages, and fractions) and common sense and you were pretty much good. There were a couple times when I was glad I had gone over punctuation with my mom. The thing I had the hardest time with was Reading comprehension just because I had to read the paragraphs several times over and was worried about running out of time. Sure enough, I finished the last question 30 seconds before time ended. I was WAY over prepared for the math stuff. I was worried about not having done percentages in about 2 years. As it turns out there was only 1 really easy problem that i had no problem with. It was really funny there was this 10 year old reading his calculus book in the breaks for fun. He was also taking the 8th grade test, and was usually first to finish. I guess he just another child prodigy. I almost forgot to mention that i woke up at 6:20 this morning and went to sleep at 11 last night. Lucky for me they had lots of sugar on hand. =D

The mean lady

Well...Its not her real name but its what everyone calls her, and for good reason. She is psychotic. She has called the cops on the kids in my neighborhood at least twice now and if anyone does anything that even looks like violence she would do it again. She makes up these things in her head about what she sees. Like once (i wasnt there but i have been told the story many times) some of the kids were playing knights and one of the girls was knighting all of them with a baseball bat. The mean lady happened to be looking outside and my guess is that the kid that was being knighted jokingly fell over like he had been knighted with the sharp part of the sword and the mean lady called 911 thinking that he got whacked over the head with a baseball bat and went unconscious. When he was really fine and was just playing a made up game. On another more recent occasion she called the cops on the kids saying they were chasing each other around with baseball bats, doing mock drug deals (she says that every time we do something she doesn't like and are playing a made up game at the time), and cussing every other word when non of this was actually happening and were not talking to her we weren't harming her property not doing anything that involved her in any way. We were on a public playground minding our own business. Once she also went off on a lecture/tangent about helmets. She was comparing riding a scooter or bike down the street to skydiving and base jumping. Then the other day i saw her riding a motorcycle without a helmet. The most recent one was when she came over to the park with her big fat cigarette hanging out of her mouth and started telling this girl about how she needs to watch her language because the park should be enjoyable for everyone. The first thing that popped in my head when she said that was Yes and i cant enjoy it when i have cigarette smoke blowing up my nose. She seems like shes on stuff sometimes when she talks. Anyway there is my rant on the mean lady.

Ok today while me and my mom were on a walk I saw something kinda sad/disturbing. Ok. While we were walking in the woods i saw this little girl probably about 2 or 3. Her mom started to pick her up out of her stroller and the first thing the little girl said was "no spanking! no spanking!" Somehow that didn't seem right being the first thing coming out of a 3 year olds mouth. I also don't believe in physical punishment. I once had a neighbor who was 4 and was very violent. I was bite on 1 or 2 occasions, and punched and kicked countless times. They way his mom disciplined him was by spanking him. Somehow punishing a little kid for hitting by spanking them just seems..... I cant find a word for it. Tell me what you guys think about this.

Zoolander

Wow that movie is funny, stupid and wrong. And i absolutely loved it. You were right Marie we did wind up fast forwarding through the part after the tea party. The whole deflecting the shuriken with his Magnum was just...funny. I found myself laughing through almost the entire movie.

I really dont like clothes shopping.

At least not for pants. Today we went shopping for about 3 hours. Not the best experience. I was having allergies which completely suck so my eyes were itching and my nose was running. I couldnt find any kleenex. Then i had to try on a bunch of clothes most of which didnt fit. Eventually we found some good ones but then they werent long enough so then i we were trying to find longer ones for a while finally found them. It turned out to be another addition to the never ending saga of buying clothes for mua. Before that we went to the farmer's market which was pretty fun. I saw someone who from the back looked almost exactly like Shellie, for a little bit i was convinced she was, then she turned around and she looked like she was about 12. The only bad thing was when i would sneeze every 10 seconds. After clothes shopping we went grocery shopping which was better since i tried every tester they had in the store. =D And i got iced tea. So all in all the day turned out ok.

Ok now if we want to do the Zim thing we need to soon. Im going to California for a week in about 2 maybe 2 and a half weeks. So what days work for you guys?
